General Information
Maui is a good place to dive, with a good variety of sites on Maui itself as well as the adjacent islands. Molokini Crater is one of the top-rated dive destinations, though I prefer Lanai. Maui
If you just want to see Molokini Crater, stay in Kihei or Wailea; it's only a 20-minute boat ride from the Kihei boat ramp.
If you want a greater variety of dives, stay in Lahaina or the nicer hotels to the north on the Kaanapali Coast. I've done four trips with Lahaina Divers; they're one of the few dive companies that will do trips to Lanai or Molokai.
